A Taste Profile is a live, hosted design system built for AI tools. It compresses your brand into a structured set of files: DESIGN.md (brand narrative), tokens.json (W3C Design Tokens), SKILL.md (a portable Claude skill), and themed components. AI tools like Claude Design, Cursor, ChatGPT, and Lovable read those files directly, so you get on-brand output from the first prompt instead of the fifth revision.

Claude Design is Anthropic's visual prototyping tool. It generates real interfaces from a single prompt, and it's much better when it knows your brand. A Taste Profile gives it DESIGN.md, SKILL.md, and tokens.json so every generation stays on-brand instead of defaulting to generic shadcn.

Claude Design uses Skills: portable files that add brand context to every session. We deliver your SKILL.md, DESIGN.md, and tokens.json as part of the Taste Profile, along with a Loom walkthrough and written install instructions. From there you have two options. Follow the Loom and install it yourself, or invite us into your Claude Team and we set it up for you. That's currently the only way to hook a design system into Claude Design. Anthropic hasn't shipped a one-click install flow yet.

Most clients don't. If you already have a brand, you'll fill out a 15-minute brand survey after purchase and we take it from there. A call is only mandatory if you add the Brand Discovery Workshop, which is required for new brands that still need to establish their essence.

Yes. That's the default flow. Brand capture from your existing assets is included in the core package. Upload your guidelines, website, Figma file, whatever you have. We compress it into a machine-readable input and build from there.

Claude Design, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Lovable, v0, and anything that accepts a design token file or Markdown context. Every Taste Profile ships with platform-specific instructions. Copy, paste, done.

No. AI tools are probabilistic and nobody can promise specific outputs. What we do is prime the tools with structured brand context they actually understand, so they default toward your aesthetic instead of generic SaaS templates. Think of it as giving the AI the same onboarding doc you'd give a new designer on your team. It raises the floor on consistency and quality dramatically, but you're still the judge of the final work.

Yes. Your Taste Profile is your repo. Code, content, everything. We host it at yourbrand.tasteprofile.io by default, but you can move it to your own domain or self-host. No vendor lock-in.

A few days to a week, typically. Faster when you already have brand assets ready (guidelines, palette, type). Longer if you add the Brand Discovery Workshop or Extended Components. We'll give you a clear estimate after you share your inputs.

You'll get a welcome email with next steps. Either submit your brand elements (guidelines, site, Figma file, palette, whatever you have) or book your Brand Discovery Workshop if you added that add-on. Once we have your inputs, we start the build.

One week of post-launch support, with unlimited tweaks, component tuning, and token adjustments. If you want longer coverage, add the Month of Guidance (+$499) for 30 days of reviews and refinements.

A Figma library is for humans. A brand guide is a PDF. A Taste Profile is a structured, machine-readable source of truth that both humans and AI tools can parse. They can coexist. Many teams keep the Figma library, but point their AI tools at the Taste Profile.

DESIGN.md is an open format specified by Google Labs. It's the same spec used by Google Stitch and a growing list of AI design tools. Your Taste Profile conforms to it (YAML front matter for tokens, canonical markdown sections for narrative), and tokens.json follows the W3C Design Tokens spec. That means zero lock-in. The files we deliver are portable to any tool that reads the format, today and as new ones launch. You own the files, you can edit them yourself, and you can move them anywhere.

Yes. Your Taste Profile is versioned in a CHANGELOG.md. You can edit tokens or copy yourself, or ask us to make changes. Every change ripples through the live viewer automatically.

Because a PDF isn't a source of truth. A live site is. Everyone on your team (designers, engineers, AI tools) points at the same URL. When it changes, everyone sees it.

We document principles and tokens, not tool-specific tricks. Your tokens.json and DESIGN.md work with any tool that can read them. When a new AI design tool launches, we update the platform instructions. Your foundation stays stable.
